Further Delay of the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 Results

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News,Residential Real Estate Posted On: Nov 17, 2014

Those awaiting the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 results must wait further as it has suffered yet another delay, supposedly for a few days. The Draw is to be conducted in another 2-3 days as per official reports.

Previous Delays:
There have already been a number of delays, postponing the date for the announcing the results for the draw of the lots that had originally been scheduled for 10th November and later postponed to 12th November. The next date is yet to be announced, but reports say it shall be conducted within a week’s time. The time has enabled the DDA to conduct test runs before the actual results are announced for the housing scheme.

The overwhelming response that it has received this year has also made it necessary to meet increased user traffic as the website is reported to have crashed during its launch in September. The last date for the scheme too had been postponed due to this response and the intervening festive season thereby postponing the whole process altogether.

Reasons for Delay:

  • Time for Rechecking Applications: The delay announced by the DDA has provided applicants with time to check out their applications and ensure that the date provided by them is complete and verified. Applicants can make use of the DDA website to check their applications making the process easier for them. Any errors detected are to be reported to the Director (Systems) in order to get them rectified.
  • Discrepancies: According to reports and as mentioned by DDA Vice Chairman Balvinder Kumar, the draw had been postponed in order to conduct test runs before the final announcement was to be made. Since a number of discrepancies had been found, the results were postponed.
  • Incomplete data: Another problem found was with banks as many application requests were received that came in with incomplete data on them and thus data corrections were being made in coordination with the banks.

An estimated 10 lakh people have applied for the flagship DDA Housing Scheme 2014. This will also be the first time that the process shall be covered live on YouTube for unlimited number of users to see the event. The delay, they believe can help them test this as well.
