Garbage collection a mess in Bhopal
Heaps of garbage can be seen on almost all the city roads in Bhopal.
Even though there are more than 3,000 employees who have been appointed for the cleanliness drive the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has failed to keep up the city clean.
Each day corporation collects around 600 metric tonne of garbage and dumps it in the outskirts of the city.
This is the main reason that one can see heaps of garbage in areas like; Subhash Nagar, Shivaji Nagar and Shajanabad.
The residents are fed up with the present garbage conditions turning worse on behalf of paying taxes timely.
However, in reply to residents, BMC officials say that they have newly launched door-to-door garbage collection followed up by which in future the garbage collection system will be updated.
Bhopal being a neat and clean city is still a distant dream.
