GCC demands transfer of private areas to MCG
Gurgaon Citizens Council (GCC) held a meeting on Sunday. The main orientation of the meeting was to discuss the issue of bringing private areas under the purview of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG).
Representatives from various Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) demanded a democratically elected municipality to ensure transparency in governance and better management of civic projects.
At present, private builders are charging Gurgaon residents substantial maintenance fee without even providing basic amenities.
Attending the meeting, senior deputy mayor Yashpal Batra assured the citizens that the matter would be communicated to the chief minister and process would be started to transfer HUDA sectors and private areas to MCG.
