GHMC fails to provide basic civic facilities
The civic facilities provided to the apartments in Hyderabad city and at public places has been traced to be poor!
After a recent civic survey, it has been learnt that for a huge population of around 34,188 people in the city there exists only one public toilet.
Altogether, in the city there is hardly 234 public toilets available for the total population of 80 lakhs citizens.
Also, above all these concerns the major issue is that maximum of the available public toilets are not being maintained regularly.
The public toilets are being maintained by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the worse case scenario is that there are no toilets for women in the city.
When asked about the poor maintenance of available toilets and lack of toilets for women, the spokes person from solid waste management, GHMC say that they would advice the citizens to use available toilets until sufficient numbers will be constructed in the city.
