GHMC Hyderabad to Acquire Properties for Metro Rail Project
The stretch between Greenlands and Jubilee Hills, via Krishna Nagar falls under metro rail corridor 3, which is to run between Nagole to Shilparamam.The corporation has decided to acquire the properties to widen the road to 100ft for the metro rail project, after conducting a physical survey of all the properties.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to acquire nearly 250 properties between Greenlands and Jubilee Hills under the Land Acquisition Act to widen the road for the metro rail project.
Officials said the draft notification to begin the land acquisition would be issued in a few days, after which notices would be served to each property owner, with details including the extent of the land required for road widening. The property owners would then be given time to voice their objections. The GHMC has also speeded up the land acquisition process for the metro rail on corridor I between L B Nagar and Miyapur.
