Greener townships observe great demand in Bangalore
Bangalore- Buyers promoting green living seems to have influenced the real estate market of Bangalore. Standard facilities like indoor/outdoor games, club houses, swimming pools, etc are no more luring prospective buyers.
Consequently this trend has aimed towards increasing demand for townships in Bangalore with more greenery and open spaces.
Manjunath, the MD of Soukyam, said that present buyers look for lush greenery and natural surroundings while buying a home. They do not mind paying high if good surroundings come with home.
Most of the buyers being from the IT or ITES segment, who would have already come across high-end amenities worldwide, attracting them with luxury features alone is not enough. Well-planned townships with good surroundings and close-to-nature views is what most of the buyers are aimed at.
Bringing the outside in and the inside out is an important concept of current township development.
Rich landscapes and water features adding natural beauty, overlooking greenery, smaller landscaped roofs on top of retail podiums with breakout spaces for office workers is the need of the hour. Providing all these does not involve high cost but it rather requires a vision and careful planning, said Snehdeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Bharatiya Group, who recently launched Bhartiya City in Bangalore. It is a matter of hiring good design experts, architects and city planners who will incorporate these features suitably, he added.
