Gurgaon faces grave power crisis
The city of Gurgaon is facing extreme electricity crisis. Flickering power cuts have become a constant problem.
Saraswati Kunj is just one of such affected areas in whole of the city. Dakshin Haryna Bijli Vitaran Nigam (DHBVN) refused to install power supply resources there. Faced with grave power crisis, the members of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) pooled in Rs 40 lakhs for HT & LT wire installation and transformers to meet their power requirement.
Sector 4 faces such power cuts as well. It is observed that electricity goes every 20 to 60 minutes on a daily basis. Ironically in spite of being in a ‘no-power-cut’ zone, the residents of Gurgaon have to put up with power shortage regularly.
