Gurgaon residents bothered by Metro train sounds!
Residents of apartments in Gurgaon are having sleepless days as they are getting disturbed by the high sound of the approching metro trains in their areas.
To take action against residents’ demands, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started putting noise barriers wherever needed to reduce the screeching sound and disturbance at the turning near the MG Road station .
However, residents of Essel Towers on MG Road are not happy with the move and want the trains’ speed to be slowed down. Furthermore, DMRC has claimed the same is not possible as it will affect the running time of the trains.
As nothing could be done, the residents have approached Central Pollution Control Board and NGO Centre of Science and Environment for any solution to the issue.
Till date, around 50% of the barriers have already been installed.
