Gurgaon still under darkness
The officials of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) claimed that due to unavailability of coals and pitiable condition of their thermal power plants in Panipat, Kanjhawal, Yamuna Vihar and Jhajjar, DHBVN could not generate electricity to meet the demands of 200 to 250 lakh units per day.
A demonstration has been held by all Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWA) and traders’ association against the frequent power cut in Gurgaon.
The residents of the Millennium City will continue to face prolonged power cut around 18 to 20 hours. Meanwhile, residents’ welfare associations in Gurgaon were planning to call a joint meeting to discuss the crisis.
Meanwhile, the DHBVN decided to provide interim power supply to the industrial belt for eight hours in a day.
