Heavy contamination of water bodies in Bangalore
The water bodies in the city out-skirts are not spared. The sewage getting diverted to lakes inside the city has however become much common.
This pollution has now spread across to the lakes which is out-skirts in Bangalore.
Mercury contamination has become a major concern wherein the dead tube-lights are dumped in the lakes causing higher levels of threat to the environment.
To put and end to all these Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has started researching and monitoring lakes in the city.
