Housing Schemes 2014 Shocks Dda With Over 10 Lakhs Applications
Delhi Development Authority is surprised to receive over 10 Lakh application forms for the Housing Scheme 2014. The much anticipated lucky lottery draw for the ownership of the flats will be taking place on coming Monday.
According to the higher authorities of DDA, the draw of lots on Monday is supposed to be the dry while the actual test will be done sometime later, based on the positive outcomes of Monday. This is the first time that the DDA Authority has decides to telecast this event live on Youtube. The actual scheme was proposed in September 1 and it has been experiencing huge rate of positive responses since then, both online and beyond the net. October 9 was supposed to be the last date of response but it was eventually extended to October 15 and by then almost 7.5 lakh applications were waiting on the desk!
The recent strategic survey reveals to the PTI that the final number of applications has now touched 10 lakh and the Delhi Development Authority officials have decided this to be the ultimate figure. The online checking of application status at the official website of the Delhi Development Authority is a real bliss for the eager applicants. The procedure of the lucky draw has been successfully uploaded on the website as well.
The entire housing scheme has more than 25,000 flats to offer with varying range of rent starting from 7 lakh and reaching up to 1.2 crore. The DDA counters all across the city in kiosks have sold about 17 lakh brochures but the responses were not enough to succeed the expectations. The foremost reason of lame responses even after the sale of so many catalogs is the five-year lock in phase for complete ownership of the respective flats. This scheme is included in the bond for the first time hence many people are not sure whether to sign to the agreements or not. Apart from this fiver year lock-in issue, there is another factor that has bothered the buyers to some extent. Most of the flats here are single-bedroom and mediocre range.
