No Comments Sub Category:Awareness,Community,Municipality Posted On: Oct 04, 2011

The residents all over Hyderabad complain over the rampage of the rodents due to garbage pilling up all over the city. Dr C. Srinivasulu the assistant professor of zoology at Osmania University reported saying that the leftover food in the garbage dumps are said to be attracting the rodents to come out even during daytime. However the sanitation in the city have put a hold due to strike and the rodents have started coming out creating lot of mess around the residential areas.

The recent strike upheld by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) employees have resulted in garbage piling up in various parts of the city, especially in the residential areas. Residents have been worried as the bandicoots that are witnessed ramp around in the city spreading over the risk of plague disease. However the experts eased fears of an epidemic outbreak as there was no increase in the number of rodents in the city instead they are frequenting on the dumps available from the garbage. The residents are looking forward to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in taking positive steps to solve the issue of rampage of the rodents.
