Illegal commercialization of Residential areas in Koramangala
Four months before the Karnataka High court has asked to stop using the residential areas as commercial places. The implementation of the verdict became a big challenge for the authority.
It is being noticed that the residential properties in Bangalore are converted to bookshops, restaurants and coffee joints. Many of these shops are operating without trade licenses from the BBMP to carry on their activities.
Though the high court has directed not to use the residential areas for commercialization, BBMP has not put a check on the situation.
The situation is more prominent in the residential areas in Koramangala. Koramangala has a thriving economy with an affluent demography. Lot of new businesses are coming up in the inner roads of Koramangala.
The residents of Koramangala are facing several problems due to the commercial activity. Parking problem and water crisis is happening in the inner areas of Koramangala.
