unauthorized constructionDelhi- Along with speeding up the work on the delayed Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) corridor project, the anti-encroachment plan has also been taken up in to action by the Noida Authority. This  drive will be effective from December 6 on the proposed highway.

Due to the increase of the unauthorized constructions and infringements, the authorities have taken up the anti-encroachment drive in September to curb them.  They were successful in eradicating about 10,000 sqm of land worth around Rs. 200 crore of unauthorized constructions.

Further, the plan to continue the drive  from 6th December was done in a joint meeting by CEO Sanjeev Saran, chief engineer and work circle heads of the area. This will perhaps help in getting rid of all the encroachments near the corridor and will further give way to the 16 km stretch corridor construction which falls under the jurisdiction of the Noida Authority.

Maximum amount of the corridor is encroached  by the neighbouring villages who are developing unauthorized colonies by cutting out illegal plots. The officials have promised to free the land of encroachments.

As per Commonfloor’s point of view, removing the encroachments along the corridor will pave way for the infrastructure development in the area.
