President Pranab Mukherjee has received an application written by Subramanian Swamy, Bharatiya Janata Party leader , in quest of a CBI investigation into the declassification of Keventer Dairy Ltd.Its a land near Rashtrapati Bhavan for building apartments, supposedly benefiting the real estate company DLF.He has attached a document which proves that in at least one company (Greenwave Agro Private Ltd.) owned by Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, Robert Vadra, DLF executive Amit Mehta was the director.

Dr. Swamy said that it is pretty evident that with no political influence the change in land use could not be possible as it is breaching national security and providing windfall profits. In March, the BJP leader asked for an investigation by the President into the alleged compromise on his security because of the proposed construction of high-end apartments. CBI alleged that there is no confirmation of irregularity in the conversion of the land.

The issue grew following a claim that DLF eager to add four more storeys to the permitted four.

Dr. Swamy earlier informed that Keventers sold 22-acre site to DLF for much less than the market rate.

Dr. Swamy alleged in his first letter, Keventers Company made available the land to a private company owned by DLF at a price of Rs. 65 crore after prolonged litigation. Although the value of the land in 2012, when the permission was granted for the conversion should not be less than Rs. 10,000 crore.

While in 2012 Delhi Police filed a report saying that a security threat may be faced due to construction of eight floors, the Intelligence Bureau and the President’s security alleged that  the building could not be authorized to come up as it would lead to “‘visual intrusion” into the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex.
