Industries to come up in place of proposed Jewar airport land

developmentGreater Noida- In a recent board meeting, the Yamuna Expressway Authority has decided to develop industries on portions of the land in Jewar which was proposed for an international airport during the BSP regime. However, the rest of the land patches will be left barren for future plans.

During the BSP regime, a proposal to construct an international airport was decided, perhaps with the BSP being replaced by the SP the decision to set up the airport was replaced and instead the airport will be constructed in Mathura or Agra. As per an official, only  a certain amount of the proposed airport land will be used to develop industries.

The board meeting also encouraged the industrial development of the area with developments sprouting across the Yamuna Expressway on 450 acres. The  proposed land measured about 10,000 hectare. Small plots of lands measuring between 500-2,000 square metres will be allotted for developing small scale industries. The land will also have eco-friendly industries followed by an industrial centre which will be developed on the 250 acres and the rest 200 acres to be allotted for the warehouses.

The government has also planned to develop IT enabled units near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway connecting to Yamuna Expressway. The proposal  of the airport would have changed the future of the region, perhaps even the latest proposal of the IT industries in the region will cater services of the world class infrastructure and amenities.

As per the developers, the upcoming development plans will boost the real estate sector along the Yamuna Expressway. With the industrial units coming up in the area, there will also be increased number of housing units. Henceforth, this plan will definitely help in the development of the real estate sector in the region.
