Infosys to open a new campus in NOIDA: Provide employment to 35, 000 youth

There is some good news for the land owners in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government today decided to give two times of the circle rate in urban areas and four times compensation in rural areas to the land owners. This will be done in the case of land acquisition.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the state Cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister AkhileshYadav. Chief Secretary AlokRanjanstated that during the Cabinet meeting after the discussion on the new land acquisitionand rehabilitation policy of the centre, this decision regarding compensation was taken.

Ranjan also mentioned that in another important decision, the Cabinet approved a proposal for Noida Authority. They want to give bank guarantee equivalent to the rebate in the stamp duty for setting up of Infosys campus in the Noida area. Expressing his happiness on this development, he also mentioned that the IT Giant would set up the project on 27.75 acres land in which it would invest Rs 1,400 crore.

Ranjan said once the project is operational, it would provide direct and indirect employment to 35,000 youth. This will take care of the unemployment problems in the state to an extent. The IT and ITeS giant has played a major role in eradicating unemployment from India in the last 30 years after its inception in 1981.
