Its a Dust Bowl no more called as a Road in New Delhi

No Comments Sub Category:Community,Municipality Posted On: Nov 09, 2011

In New Delhi the residents belonging to several extensions have complete got used to breathe in and out only the dusty air, fresh air no more exists in the walled city. A road near Balco market has been reported for similar issue wherein it has been years since the road is tarred properly henceforth the road is full of potholes, mud, dust particles and what not? The residents surviving around this location have been severely facing the effects of air pollution. Thinking in terms of hundreds of commuters who take this way are fed up with the pathetic conditions of the road, henceforth they claim this road as “dust bowl” and no more a road.

Recently Delhi Jal Board had dug up this road to lay sewer lines and the work is still left pending from past 10 months. However even on behalf of residents lodging complaints to the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD), the department is turning blind ears to do the needful. MCD says that they are fed up tarring the road after civic work is completed by other civic departments. Its the duty of MCD to maintain city roads but they never seem to be interested in doing the same. Even with prevailing worse situations, the commuters have no other go, but to travel in the same way.
