JDA gives permission to the university who encroached government land
Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) seems to be promoting encroachment on government land by allotting nearly 41 hectares to National Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) University situated alongside Jaipur-Delhi national highway.
It was earlier declared that the university administration had allegedly constructed four illegal hostel buildings in the campus and a playground on pastureland. After the alleged encroachment, the university had filed an application to be allotted that land. JDA had sent a proposal to the state government for the approval.
Moreover, to avoid legal tangles further, the civic body had also proposed that relaxation should be provided to the university. The government land that was illegally used by the university authorities to construct hostels has now been allotted to them. This has thrown light to the fact that the Jaipur Development Authority has not been doing anything regarding the encroachment of government land.
The JDA has belt out the legal notice regarding the land. This incident has really been disturbing because if the government themselves are promoting such activities how will actions be taken against illegal constructions and other violations.
