Koramangala Residents protest against Bangalore Development Authority

The Koramangala residents in Bangalore city staged a protest against Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). BDA wokers had not given prior notice to the residents on the commencement underpass work from the stretch on Sarjapur Road, Madiwala and Agara areas, this annoyed the residents and made them wage a protest. However its BDA authorities concern to have a hand in hand co-operation with the government and the residents of the city, but they have fared badly to keep up the same.

BDA also showcased a demo of the upcoming underpasses in Sarjapur road and the project is estimated to cost Rs 125 crore. Meanwhile the underpass work was stopped following the protest recently. Also this project is dashing in a major threat to the environment as the project demands nearly 150 trees to be cut in these areas. Henceforth the residents have threatened to move the case to the court if at all BDA takes up such a kind of destruction plans. Meanwhile nearly 100′s of residents have approached area corporators to speak with concerned government authorities to put down a pause to this project.
