Kotak Realty invests in TDI’s Kundli project

TDI Infrastructure is developing a group housing project in Delhi NCR which is being funded by Kotak Realty Fund. This is the first investment by the private equity firm in a project by TDI.

The housing project is spread across 29 acres area. It is a part of a larger 1,200 acre township in Kundli. This township is located 6 km from the northern part of Delhi, which gives a great connectivity with rest of the city.

Basically a new rail coach factory was proposed in this area, which will create lot of job opportunities in and around that area. Hence, there will be a sudden hike of demand for the residential housing in Kundli. This factor has been attracting the builders to invest in Sonepat, as the development of the region will take place within few years. Like Gurgaon, Sonepat will also become a hot cake for real estate investors.

Among all the NCR regions, Gurgaon has seen a huge amount of development within very short span of time but prices have gone out of reach for the common man. This is one more factor which has made TDI to focus on offering affordable homes in areas beyond Gurgaon. The real estate project in Kundli will offer better units at the right time with affordable rates to the home buyers.

A recent survey has stated that there is a shortage of 25 million homes in India, mostly for the middle class people.

TDI is now looking at acquiring more land in various parts of the national capital region for developing similar integrated township which will spread across at least 100 acres of land. TDI group’s townships are located in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Panipat, Moradabad and Agra.
