The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to shift the operation of intra-State and inter-State express buses. The shifting is necessary for the construction of underground metro station at Majestic.
From January 6, KSRTC bus-stand will be operational from the newly constructed shelter in front of the Shantala Silk House in Majestic. Buses of KSRTC and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will start from the new facility bound towards Hindupur Anantapur, Puttaparthi, Kadapa, Tirupati, Chikkaballapur and Kolar.
Previously the services were operational from the main terminal of Kempegowda Bus Station. For the construction of the underground metro station as well as to allow tunnelling on the North-South corridor of
Namma Metro, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation requested the authority to shift a part of the bus stand in the new location.
