Low-lying localities in Tuticorin waterlogged due to Heavy Rainfall

Tuticorin district in Chennai witnessed heavy rainfall sliding in ample amount of relief to the residents with its soothing environment. Meanwhile this heavy thunder and rainfall washed away few places in Tuticorin recently, however the low-lying houses situated in the area were water-logged. The area had poor drainage system due to this the rain water was overflowing into the houses and the city roads also. The municipal officials are giving due reasons forĀ road restoration works being delayed and also the proper construction of drainage systems.

Due to delay in these works, the residents belonging to Bryant Nagar and also Chidambaram Nagar had to bare the consequences of heavy rainfall. The on going nagging problems at few areas resulted in creating lot of chaos to the commuters. Commuting was a roller-coaster ride to the denizens of Tuticorin. Only farmers were benefited with the good amount of rainfall. The residents are looking forward for the needful to be done by the city municipal officials.
