Mangalore residents annoyed facing Water Tariff Hike
Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) are untimely stopping the water flow to the residents which has lead the residents facing a woe. The residents are drastically worried about the water not being supplied in regular, this has been creating a major trauma to manage their daily activities. Also there is a threat of water tariff hike if the residents impose pressures on the government bodies. Every family in the city from now on-wards is asked to shell out more Rs 200 as a consumption of 24,000 litres of water usage for every month.
BJP member and a former mayor M Shankar Bhat reported saying that the hike tariff is yet to be decided in the committee and he also promised to the residents saying that the state government will be asked to increase the rate in concern of the welfare of the residents also. Non- domestic consumers will have to shell out Rs 500 for the usage of every 24,000 litres of water, for now these are the floating rates decided and however the rates might differ accordance to the committee and government decisions.
