MCD to have multiple civic wings
The New Delhi provinces will soon get three smaller an sub-corporations for east, south and north instead of one Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
To keep track of all the civic works in whole city, the idea of splitting up municipality has been planned!
Around 54 years ago, MCD was looked after by 10 different committees and later on during year 1862 the origin of civic administration in Delhi joined hands with MCD.
The need for more civic wings was initiated when the city expansion was ahead Shahjahanabad.
The former Delhi mayor say that a unified municipal body was needed in nation capital city Delhi as there is lack of coordination between existing smaller municipal committees.
However, citizens are concerned only about the civic services being delivered timely and to ensure less number of illegal properties in Delhi NCR.
