MCG cannot be blamed for poor civic works

No Comments Sub Category:Community,Municipality Posted On: Mar 29, 2012

Only 37 percent of total budget has been utilized by Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) since previous three years.

The local civic body was notified in year 2008, however it was incomplete till the 2011 May elections.

Also, during year 2005 the second Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) was set up to achieve accountable, efficient, proactive and responsive administration.

Now, it is Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) who is keeping track of civic works in Gurgaon city.

The fact is that MCG does not have the sole authority to decide on budget utilization in concern with large development projects.

Every time MCG has to wait for the approval Chandigarh to start any new civic works in Gurgaon city. With all these drawbacks, expecting or pointing out the slow processed work from MCG is meaningless.

However, it is citizens who are suffering midst all these chaos and unstructured ruling.
