Municipal Corporation of Delhi upholds Garbage deportation

The walled city Delhi will soon be claimed as a clean city as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has come forward with a new plan of clearing garbages prompting all over the city. MCD has decided to deport the city’s waste to energy sites and the remaining garbage wastes will be compressed with the help of compressing plants. However the existing dumping sites such as; Ghazipur, Okhla and also Bhalaswa have been completely filled and is almost overflowing.

As per the statistics recorded from the municipal authorities, Delhi is ahead producing nearly 9,000 metric tonnes of garbage every single day and the municipal officials have no other option but to deport the dumps.
Municipal Commissioner KS Mehra reported over this issue saying that the over flowing garbage from all the three above mentioned sites will be isolated and deported to three different energy plants. These 7,000 metric tones of garbage will be compressed into either fuel or electricity everyday. Also the remaining of soils will be used to cover the pits and the construction materials dumped is planned to be recycled.
