Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon to install LED Street Lights

The supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system has taken over the supervision and monitoring of installing the Light-emitting Diode (LED) in Gurgaon streets. Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has come forward to provide LED lights to the streets of Gurgaon city which has a capacity of lighting and life span of five years. The problem with the prevailing lighting system in these streets is that it needs people physically present over every lighting pole and segregate the problem in it. Once a general check is done the new LED lightning system is expected to be installed and also there is huge complaint list over this issue form the residents of Gurgaon in concern with the malfunctioning of the prevailing street lights.

The cost of this project is estimated as 60 lakhs in a rough scale and also the authorities concerned informed saying that the financial and technical bid will be soon be in auction and are awaiting for the contractors to take over this project and do justice for the success of this project. One of the SCADA official reported over this project saying that they would begin the installation of LED street lights with a small start in the nearby area of Rjiv Chowk in Gurgaon and also explaining the geographical set up, these lights would be installed at the distance of every 10meters and every pole will have a 60 watt LED lighting bulb and these lights would give much soother effect compared to normal lighting bulbs. This is expected to be installed at the earliest as most of the roads are in pitch dark in most of the areas all over the city.
