NDMC to use GPRS Technology

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is implementing a new method to keep a watch over clean city in Delhi. To have a watch over its field staff NDMC is planning to install the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) technology. The civic agency will be handling the installation of GPRS technology by enabling it in the mobile phones of the supervisor and they will be asked to click the photographs of the places already cleaned and asked to send those pictures to the municipal corporation to monitor over them. The pictures will be monitored by the IT department.

Off Site Real Time (OSRT) system is one of the similar kind of project aiming at improving functions of the field staff and moreover this projection will be mainly used to keep a check on the sanitary works upheld at NDMC areas. NDMC has invited a bid over this project, and the officials concerned to this department reported saying, that this project will soon come into power within a month’s time from the time of this being tendered.
