Non-allotment of plots after taking payment will be an offence
The state consumer disputes redressal commission of Chandigarh has ruled that any incident of non-allotment of plots after receiving any payment will be considered as ‘deficiency in service‘.
The judgment has been ruled out against a complaint filed by Suresh Lata Singla and Yash Paul Singla on August 9th 2010.
The complainant has paid the amount for purchasing a land in SAS Nagar, Mohali.
In the order the Honorable Judge directed to refund the entire amount paid by the complainant along with 15% interest effective from the date of deposit till the date the amount will be refunded.
Along with this the commission also directed the developer to pay rupees one lakh as compensation for the mental and physical harassment caused to the complainant.
