Palam Vihar RWA takes over maintenance from Ansal API
In order to transfer the maintenance of the Palam Vihar Colony, Ansal API has entered into an agreement with the residents’ welfare association.
Even a written letter was submitted by API to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to transfer the ownership of the colony to the civic body.
According to the senior API executive, MCG has still not given any response to the letter but the developer has agreed to transfer the maintenance to the RWA, but few issues like dues of the residents are still pending.
A meeting took place where the representatives of the builder and RWA officials were present. A deal was decided and viewed as a solution for the daily fights over the poor civic amenities in various localities.
Palam Vihar in the Millennium City was developed in late 1980s and it is among the oldest privately developed localities. It comprises of 5,500 plots where 3,500 families stay.
RWA will have to reduce the maintenance fee from Rs. 2.9 per square metre to Rs. 2.5 per sqm if the pact is approved.
The maintenance fee for amenities like club, schools, among other facilities located in the colony will be Rs. 1.25 per sqm which will be collected by RWA from the residents of Ansal API properties.
Since 2009, Pro facility Management, a private company was taking care of the maintenance , but the residents were not satisfied with their services.
