Penalty on overflowing water tanks in Delhi!

1 Comment Sub Category:Apartment News,Awareness,Delhi-NCR Posted On: Apr 09, 2012

Wastage of water is a serious crime and you may end up paying for it.

In Delhi, a penalty of upto Rs 2000 will be imposed on the residents if the water tanks in their complexes are found overflowing.

This initiative has been taken by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and will penalize someone who are found wasting potable water.

As the summers are approaching, demand for water goes up by 20% of around 850 million gallons per day (MDG).

However residents are not taking the initiative in a better way and want the RWAs to warn the defaulters rather than being penalized.
