Private and public tussle pushes Gurgaon area back
The tussle between public and private authority has pushed back development in Gurgaon. Almost the entire area of ward 34 comes under private developer DLF in New Gurgaon. Due to this, the authority of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) in the area remains constrained.
The councilor of the area has also been in a helpless situation as there are problems arising out of improper demarcation between the municipality and the private developers.
No major development has taken place in the area. Garbage being dumped in the open, stray cattle, broken manholes and pot-holed roads which have not been re-carpeted in the last few years. It suffers from acute water deficit. To make matter even worse law and order situation in the area is also deteriorating.
Both the parties have to find a way out of the bottleneck to make advancements in the area easier.
