Problems in catchment areas of Jaipur
The Rajasthan high court on Tuesday had issued some notices to the chief secretary, commissioner of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and CEO, Jaipur Municipal Corporation over alleged encroachment and cutting of plots on the catchment area of Amanishah Nullah at Batta Basti area near Shastri Nagar.
Justice Manish Bhandari sought a report from the respondents within four weeks. Petitioner Mohammad Afiz said the Tagore Nagar Gruh Nirman Sahakari Samiti has encroached upon nearly 113 bigha of land in the area and has earmarked nearly 450 plots on the catchment area of the nullah in the name of the old housing society.
He alleged that the area of the corporator Roshan Razak Bhati is the mastermind behind the illegal activity and the problems that have been seen rising. However all the matters have not been seen into as what has been happening and people are still unaware of the fact. The matters will be looked into and the things will then be sorted out. The JDA has been looking into the matter and the facts have still been not made clear as what might be happening.
