Protests over Ramky’s Solid Waste Management project
GHMC workers are not okay with the agreement done with Ramky for handling sold waste.
Ramky, who was associated with the Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) project has been roped in by the civic body for handling and manging garbage transportation.
However, Bhagyanagar Municipal Employees’ Union have started a dharna outside GHMC office protesting over the agreement between Ramky and GHMC.
The protests were also carried out three years back but then the civic body assured that no agreement will be signed without the union’s consent.
Now, they allege that the agreement has been made without even consulting the employees.
