PWD Minister ensures amenities, developmental works
Raipur- Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Brijmohan Agrawal visited four wards of the Raipur Municipal Corporation on the third day of Nagar Suraj Abhiyan.
After performing bhumi puja, the Minister promised developmental works worth Rs 5.9 crore to the people of the ward.
The minister also paid visits to Maulana Abdul Rauf ward, Pt Motilal Nehru ward, Vipin Bihari Sur ward and Lakshminarayan Das ward.
After receiving applications related to problems from the residents, the minister directed the concerned officials to address the problems and to educate them on the various welfare schemes run by the State Government.
Later he interacted with the local residents regarding the action taken by officials on their applications. Then the Minister directed the officials to make proper arrangements at the counter of camp in order to facilitate people to fill the application form properly. Later the minister distributed school uniforms and books to the students.
Nagar Suraj has been structured to know about the problems and demands of people living in rural areas so that it could be addressed through various schemes run by the State Government. The government aims at providing basic amenities to citizens, said PWD Minister addressing the gathering.
