Rain results in sub-standard Road Work in Hubli
Hubli had recently started with road repairs and also construction of new roads meanwhile rain intervened causing sub-standard quality of road works by the corporation. The roads are back to normal tardy again due to continuous rainfall since two weeks. The municipal corporation is in a down feel for the loss of investment made on these roads. Potholes are again creating chaos for the commuters in Hubli main roads. The state government had granted Rs 100-crore for upgrading the interior roads and main roads in the city.
Vijay Kumar, a business reported over this issue saying that the potholes were filled with water on the city main roads starting from KIMS to MVP College resulting in the traffic gridlocks. Also he complained over the slippery roads with the tar worn out completely and also these roads are causing major threat to commuters lives. Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation is expected to work on these issues at the earliest to stop encouraging loss of lives.
