Real estate Company BPTP Ltd. in news for wrong reasons
Another real estate scam has been busted by The Faridabad police. Kabul Chawla, the managing director of the real estate company BPTP Ltd has been booked under cheating, fraud and criminal conspiracy. Rohit and Mamta Kapoor had registered an FIR with the Faridabad police stating that they had booked two plots in A block, Sector 85, Parkland Colony, set up by BPTP in 2006-07. The builders started charging them extra on the pretext of escalation charges due to the increase in cost of building materials. Also BPTP provided an incomplete format of the plot buyers’ agreement (PBA) in 2008. After repeated requests from the complainants when the builders failed to change it, then they were left with no other option but to file a complaint. The builders have failed to handover the plots to the buyers even after collecting the full payment and stamp duties. Faridabad court had instructed the police to file a case against Bhavna Puri- vice-president, customer services.
