Rent for HQ to be paid by the South Corporation
New Delhi- In a recent announcement made by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation officials, it was stated that they will hire a private agency in order to initiate a survey and make a report of all properties within their jurisdiction.
According to an NMDC official, a survey has already been carried out by an agency from the Delhi Government. This survey was conducted some time ago and now the NMDC wants to have their own data about the properties, said an official. An amount of Rs. 10 crore has been earmarked by the corporation for the survey.
The corporation, however is looking for ways to increase the revenue, will charge a certain amount of rent from its counterpart, South Delhi Municipal Corporation for using NDMC’s property.
The rent amount will be about Rs. 62 crore for a period of nine months and for the year 2013, the South Corportion will have to pay rent of Rs. 75.
With the corporations in effect, the North Corporation waived away the rent to be paid by the South Corporation for using the 28-storey Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civic Centre on Jawaharlala Nehru Marg situated near Minto Road.
Henceforth owing to the previous factors, the recent declaration of the rent payment by the NMDC has surprised the lot.
