Hyderabad- A programme has been organised by the civic body concerning the property issues among residents.
One such case was of a resident who had to wait for 21 years to register his property. His property file was with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for the last 21 years with the resident making his visits to the corporation office for years.
This incident came into light when Zaibunnisa Begum visited the GHMC headquarters concerning her grievance redressed during the programme. The programme was arranged by the corporation followed by several other departments from revenue to Central Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL).
The resident who resides in SRT-51, MCH Colony, Asifnagar wanted the corporation to register the quarter in her name with details like payment of installments and payment of property tax. The application was sent to the corporation in 1991 with all the required documents and had not got any response. However, MT Krishna Babu, GHMC commissioner requested the GHMC additional commissioner to register the file immediately.
