Residents melancholy seems never ending in Chennai

The residents of Chennai are in a state of melancholy with the unattended garbage all over the city and some of the places like Thiruvottiyur and Kathivakkam are facing over flowing garbage that has resulted in uncleaned city. Nearly 110 tonnes of garbage is being generated in Thiruvottiyur area and Kathivakkam area generating 22 tonnes that is being dumped at Sathangadu yard located near Thiruvottiyur Ponneri Panchetty (TPP) Road.

The residents are concerned about the spread of epidemic outbreak that would intern affect their health and environment. Mr M.K. Elamvazhuthi the general secretary of Manali and Sekkadu Environment and Consumer Protection Welfare Association reported saying that with the dumping of garbage near residential sites, the residents are unable to breathe properly and the sophistication level is increasing causing threat to them. Chennai Municipal Corporation are on high alert to clean cities for the welfare of the residents.
