Residents of Chennai Battle for Clean City
The residents of Chennai are struggling hard every day to get garbage off the streets and even to clear the blocked drain all over the city. Meanwhile as the residents seek hardly any feedback so the resident associations in the city are aiming to win back their neighborhood by actively participating in the clean city drive. Also the T Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association has elected a candidate to ensure that there is representation for their causes and the process of submitting their wish list to those contesting for the post of local councillors to the Chennai Corporation. Many associations have directly polled and many of them are organising meetings with candidates to spread awareness about local issues.
Welfare Association reported saying that they will present problems list to the association candidates and are updated frequently. However K J Suriyanarayanan the trustee of Namma Mylapore reported saying that most candidates approach residents’ organisations to gain knowledge about the happenings in the city. Also that they are aware of the strong presence in the area and consider views of the association and are expected to fulfill a few poll promises. Residents of Chennai are still surviving in a hope to soon get eased from these issues and are expected to maintain clean city.
