Rising number of city-within-a-city projects in Bangalore
Bangalore- The builders and developers of Bangalore have got indulged in developing integrated townships within the rousing metropolis.
At one time in the past Bangalore was full of bungalows and later the city got lined up with high-rise apartments and complexes changing the order. And by the end of this decade the city is likely to witness numerous walled townships since the city-within-a-city concept is being widely accepted.
The townships have many advantages including that they allow residents to walk to work, shop, and access better infrastructure in a secured environment, controls traffic issues in the city, the residents need not step out for 90% of their requirements.
Along with residential units, many townships offer commercial spaces, schools, restaurants, hospitals, parks, clubs, and more. In addition, some of the townships even include police stations and fire stations.
Currently there are many integrated townships under construction including Brigade Orchards (Devanahalli) Bhartiya City (Hebbal), Sobha City (Thanisandra Main Road) Patel Neotown (Electronics City) and Provident Welworth City (Yelahanka-Doddaballapur Road).
These townships are being developed on 30 to 100 acre land parcels and offer high-end luxury to low-cost residential units. Price ranges from Rs 27 lakh to Rs 2 crore.
