Smart cities should preserve Indian values
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Indian values, circumstances and the specialities of the states will be taken into account while building up Smart Cities. Chouhan was holding discussions with the industrial groups and potential investors at Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the fastest growing state. Smart Cities will be developed according to the Centre’s guidelines. He also underlined possibilities of transforming old cities into Smart Cities. On behalf of the state government, Minister for Industries Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Chief Secretary Anthony JC DeSa, Principal Secretary Industries Mohammad Sulaiman, Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao, Managing Director of TRIFAC Deepak Ahuja, Managing Director of MP State Electronics Development Corporation M Selvendran were present.
In the forenoon sessions multinational IBM’s chief executive officer Amit Sharma, Nettur Technical Training Foundation NTTF’s managing director N Reghuraj, Gokak Textiles Ltd’s executive director HS Bhaskar and head of the delegation of Infosys Ltd Rohan Parikh met the Chief Minister and held detailed discussions on investment proposals.
This decision has been taken keeping in mind the cultural values of India and its individual places.
