Toll tax increased on Udaipur expressway
The road trip to Udaipur will now be costlier because the NHIA has increased the toll tax on Udaipur-Shyamalaji-Ahmedabad by Rs 5 to Rs 20 for different category of vehicles. An official announcement regarding this was made recently. The average increase in the monthly expenses for vehicles that use the expressway is estimated to be nearly Rs 600 to Rs 1,000.
The old Tariff for cars and jeeps was Rs 35 for one way journey and Rs 55 for two way fare. It is now increased to 40 for one way and Rs 65 for two way fare. In case of light commercial vehicles, the old rates were Rs 60 for one way and 95 for two way journeys which has been increased to Rs 75 for one way and Rs 115 for two way journeys.
The NHIA officials say that this increase is applicable in several toll booths.
