‘Transparency’ demand of flat buyers not met by authorities

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Apr 28, 2014

It has been quite disappointing to the homebuyers that despite repeated demands to make details of developers public, Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities have failed to upload them on their websites. This would have ensured transparency and would have provided assurance to the buyers. As the region is witnessing a boom in realty sector, there is a lot of incentive for fraudulent developers to lure buyers. It is highly impractical for every home buyer to verify the details of the developers. Any authenticate source to verify the credentials of developers would be a boon for them.

It was planned by the authorities to upload land ownership and title-related details, lease deed conditions, status of sanctioning building layout plan and other NOCs and documents on their websites. Noida Authority OSD, Manoj Rai points out that they have roped in an agency for the e-governance project and the process to upload developers’ details on Noida Authority’s website is underway.
