TRS stages dharna against HMDA
In an event bearing political implications, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activists on Tuesday staged a dharna in front of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) office against auction of plots.
The activists alleged that thousands of acres of government land were either auctioned or handed over to various firms and individuals by the state government in the past few years.
The protests led by TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao demanded the authority to withdraw the notification issuing auction of 42 plots in various areas of the city.
