Noida Jal Board has come forward to commission a new underground reservoir in sector 63 in Noida. The water supply in Noida is soon expected to raise as the concerned authorities are taking welfare measures to cut down the shortage which was causing a major trouble to the residents of Noida. One of the Jal Board official reported saying that reservoir has been designed in such a way that the planning over a usage of water by each person for a day is expected to be around 170 liters in a rough scale. This reservoir also reduces the burden of the rural areas depending on urban areas for the water supply. The project has already been started and the pipelines have already been installed from the underground reservoir to the village.

The construction work in concern with this project has taken new turns and has been very useful for the users in the villages in Noida. Also the water supply has been given only to few of the connection lines to check the success of the construction work. This reservoir has a capacity of 1,500 kilo liters and will supply water to the residents of Bahlopur, a village sector in Noida and then the supply would carry over to the main city. Meanwhile the villages in Noida had no reservoirs, since times immortal water was supplied to these villages through tube-wells. However with the construction of reservoir the water shortage burden is to be reduced completely in Noida villages.
