Water supply shortage haunts Mumbai residents

The water distribution system in Mumbai city is shortage of 800 million litres a day (mld).
It is a fact that Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is also finding tough to manage the present water chaos.
The untidy and contaminated water supply is adding on to the pain of residents in the city.
However, to solve these water woes BMC has planned to take up and hydraulic department which will calm the present worse situations.
