Water woes at Surat remains unattended
Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has been receiving complaints in a pile with the increasing chaos created with water supply all over the city. The residents of Surat are getting low pressure of water supply and some days to their surprise the water supply is stopped completely. With the on going pressure put up on the municipal officials, SMC has come forward with a new plan to do the needful for the residents.
The new centralized pumping station at Rajshree hall of Navsari bazaar is said take foundation soon to relieve the water woes in the society and this project is expected to be completed by the end of year 2012. PVS Sharma the chairman of water committee reported saying that they have start up a committee to solve the acute water shortage woes of the residents. The official also demanded a toll free number for the residents to lodge their complaints in concern with the water woes. He also added on saying that water is an important source for survival henceforth the residents should feel free to lodge complaints.
